Bella came to us shortly before Christmas of 2006. We quickly discovered that she was extremely intuitive. Susan was recovering from spinal fusion surgery in February of 2007 and Bella became her caretaker. She would wake her up during the night because she knew by Susan’s restlessness that she needed to take her medicine for pain. We have a tri-level home and traveling the stairs with three standard poodles in the house was never a problem. They were all very careful to stay out of Susan’s way and not bump into her.
Bella is always “tuned in” and loves to spend her time with Susan. She also loves to play, and enjoys romping and playing in the yard with the other dogs, especially Kira, our youngest poodle. We are pretty sure Bella understands everything we say, as Chuck gives her a choice at bedtime to either get off the bed or move over to give him room. She will look at him and sometimes jump off the bed for the night and other times get up and move tightly next to Susan.
Bella is a beautiful, rich chocolate brown color and reminds us of her Dad, Shiloh, of Shiloh Gardens Standards.
